Night Shift

It is almost 4 AM...Henry just finished a nice meal, and he is asleep on my chest. He is completely out, but he needs a diaper change (I can smell it!) so do I wake him or put him down without a change??!! I'm leaning towards just laying him down because I'm sure it won't be long before he is awake again for another feeding. He is really breathing hard right now...kind of a whistle out of his nose...such a sweet sound. I love this little guy! I wish I didn't have to sleep so I could just hold him all night and continue to kiss his soft hair. I'm so blessed. Okay now it is turning into more of a snore. I guess I'm going to try to put him down...

I remember that dilemma- change them or put them down? I learned way too late that it's best to just let them sleep. If he was uncomfortable he would wake up and then you could change him.

Sweet little baby snores are the best! I'm glad you're enjoying him...:)

You're a lucky lady Courtney! Cherish every moment!

Enjoy the times of holding him now. My mom told me this with Charlotte and I am so glad I listened. The second time around there is less time to relish in the sweet moments (I still try to from time to time). :)

Hi! I've followed your blog too and was so happy to hear from the blog that Henry arrived safely!! Congrats on your handsome little boy!

Do you have a Miracle Blanket? I started using one with my baby when she was about a month old and she started having WAY longer stretches in the night because of the blanket. I know it sounds too good to be true but it is true. I could not have survived those first three months without a Miracle Blanket. Check it out at www.miracleblanket.com
